A journey to special 8 in the IELTS Writing.

Hello Dreamers!

We don’t believe in posting successful results owing to candidates’ privacy and comfort zone, but W: 8, L: 8.5, R: 7.5, S: 8 (Divya, Bangalore, India) has forced us to break with tradition.

More than being a success story, it’s an inspirational one. I’ll not generalize by saying that most of you don’t struggle maintaining a balance between work schedule and exam preparation, yet this lady has seen it all while preparing for the IELTS test with me.

She kicks start her day before the crack of the dawn for her job, works 3 hours more than the Sun does. Not to forget one side 10km journey she covers every day to reach her workplace.

Major medical emergencies in family, late-night work calls and whatnot, you name it, she had it all and that too in the preparatory period of just 2 months, let alone her homely responsibilities.

Despite these hindrances, she worked on her downsides with her sheer commitment, trusted my words like the Bible, and came up with this phenomenal result which is not a cakewalk.

Let’s face it, scoring 8 bands in the IELTS writing is not a daily thing for the non-English speaking nations' residents, as band 7 is the unspoken benchmark.

Divya, on the other hand, has proved yet again that if you work on the desired score with a proper technique and a positive mindset, irrespective of the difficulties you encounter, you will certainly succeed.

Cutting this short, I’m sure some of you are having hard times, devoting adequate hours for your test preparation (IELTS, ISLPR, PTE). No matter what the rhythm, keep it up, you are almost there.

Sahil,

IELTS Manzil
