New South Wales — NESA

In New South Wales, teacher registration is managed by the NSW Education Standards Authority, known as NESA. The ISLPR is accepted by NESA as evidence of English proficiency, with most applicants needing to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in a professional educational context.

Victoria — VIT

In Victoria, teacher registration is managed by the Victorian Institute of Teaching, known as VIT. The VIT requires overseas trained teachers to meet English language proficiency requirements and accepts the ISLPR as one of the approved tests.

Victoria has a significant population of overseas trained teachers, particularly in Melbourne. The VIT registration process is thorough and includes assessment of both qualifications and English proficiency. Queensland — QCT

In Queensland, teacher registration is managed by the Queensland College of Teachers, known as QCT. The QCT accepts the ISLPR as evidence of English language proficiency for overseas trained teachers applying for registration.
